Our Approach
Stellar Football Club's philosophy at the Select level is continues the focus on individual player development and tactical team development. This means incorporating the appropriate developmental techniques at the right developmental stages tailored to individual needs. Most importantly travel is limited in favor of more opportunity to develop players and compete locally.
Coaching and Training
Stellar Coaches are composed of experienced players, technical trainers and on field leaders. Our coaches are unique in the sense that all Stellar Coaches are current or former high level players, highly technical trainers and are tactical leaders.
All clubs and levels of play have coaches but not all coaches are qualified to train technical skills, manage games tactically and lead young players with confidence.
If you are evaluating clubs and notice your potential coach is not leading technical sessions, it should be a question. Technical coaches create technical players. There's no substitute. It's how we know our coaches are truly are Stellar.
Competition
At the Select Level we focus our competition locally for the majority of a season and plan to compete monthly in external tournaments. This equates to less weekly travel, more time to develop individually and more flexibility on scaling external competition as needed. We can increase or decrease competition levels regularly. This is also dependent on where our players are and how their team dynamic is developing.
This is where Stellar takes a stand to focus on the player versus the club and registration numbers.
Team and Tournaments
A minimum roster teams size will be created to maximize playing time and competition level. Teams will compete in the CAYSA league which is consider Div2 Soccer, similar to WDDOA/Alpha.
Seasons
Our outdoor soccer program for the 2024-25 season runs from August through May. We have a minimum of two tournaments in the Fall and two in the Spring. In between seasons we do off-season training, indoor competition and extra tournaments.

Fall 2024: August to November
Spring 2025: February - May
Seasons
- Practice will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30PM-8:30PM Time frame.
- Game Days will be on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.
- Practice locations will be LTISD, County facility or local fields under development.
- Stellar is currently developing fields for its sole use in the Bee Cave/Spicewood area. More information to come.
